"To care for sick, injured and orphaned wild birds with the goal of returning them to the wild. To educate our community about wild birds and wild bird issues." Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Do you have at least 4 hours to give every other week? Do you like birds? Would you like to help give back to our native wildlife? Duties include performing normal household cleaning chores, cleaning cages, hand feeding baby birds, and preparing formulas. You will learn how to identify the various species of birds found in North Central Texas, their charactoristics and behaviors, and specie specific care. Your reward will be watching them as they leave the aviaries to return where they belong. If interested call 691-0828 and request a Volunteer Information package be mailed to you.
