About Us

VolunteerWF.org, a program of the Nonprofit Center, is a "virtual volunteer center" designed to match volunteers with the nonprofit agencies that need them.  Redesigned in 2009, VolunteerWF.org is made possible by grant funding from the Meadows Foundation of Dallas, Texas and The Priddy Foundation of Wichita Falls, Texas.  Active participation by the nonprofit community and by community volunteers is essential to the ongoing success of the site.  Donations from anyone who has found the Web site to be of service or interest are encouraged, as is feedback.  Corporate sponsorships of the VolunteerWF.org promotional billboards are needed as well.

The Nonprofit Center, originally established in 1991 as a division of the North Texas Area United Way, was created to help nonprofit agencies work more efficiently and effectively.  In 2001 the Center became an independent, 501(c)(3) organization.  The mission of the Nonprofit Center is to promote the advancement of nonprofit organizations and the community through training and resources.  We provide educational programming and professional consultation to the 1,100 charitable organizations located within a 60-mile radius of Wichita Falls.  Centrally located near the Kemp and Kell intersection in Wichita Falls, the Center is home to the Nonprofit Resource Library, a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center (the nation's authority on philanthropy).  Any individual is welcome to browse the publications and use the free funding information center contained in the library.  Center Partners have check-out privileges.

Nonprofit Center, 2301 Kell Boulevard, Suite 218, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.  We are located on the second floor of the Wells Fargo Bank Building. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Although most days we are open over the lunch hour, we recommend calling prior to visiting to ensure that someone will be able to assist you.
