CIS Youth Leadership Breakfast

Scheduled For: Saturday, February 20, 2010

Our youth leaders deserve more than a pat on the back and “job well done.” They’re paving the way for future generations and we feel a recognition banquet is in order! You can help by volunteering at the unique fundraising event in support of the children and families of the Wichita Falls Area. The second annual Youth Leadership Breakfast will be held at Midwestern State University on February 20, 2009, and is hosted by Communities in Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area, Inc. Participants in the Youth Breakfast will enjoy a generous breakfast and motivational speech by Craig Scott. Craig is the brother of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine School shooting in 1999. Craig himself was present at the school during this tragic event and he shares his sister’s vision of creating a positive chain reaction through acts of kindness. This keynote message contains five powerful challenges taken from Rachel Joy Scott’s life. These challenges are being implemented in secondary schools across the country, and are making these schools safer and more enjoyable places to be in. Every listener will walk away a changed person from this heart-rending, humorous, thought-provoking, and entertaining presentation. For more information on the presentation please visit www.rachelschallenge.com. If you are interested in sponsoring or volunteering please contact us by visiting www.wfisd.net/cis or by calling 940-264-6743. Thank you for your support.
